In a dam construction project led by Kajima Corporation, Mr. Nakamoto served as an external advisor, contributing his expertise in autonomous driving, ICT, and AI-based smart construction technologies. To address pressing challenges such as a shrinking labor force and the need to enhance on-site safety, he supported the deployment of autonomous construction machinery, including unmanned operations and coordinated fleet driving of heavy equipment. These efforts were underpinned by advanced simulations and feasibility studies conducted by the startup company with which Nakamoto was affiliated, playing a critical role in transitioning the technologies from concept to implementation. In the domain of construction management, Nakamoto was also called upon to offer insights from an external, objective perspective—distinct from Kajima’s internal management structure. Drawing on the agility and technological edge of a startup environment, he proposed new operational workflows and evaluation metrics that contributed to risk mitigation and productivity improvement. Notably, the impact of these initiatives extended beyond a single project. The approaches were subsequently adapted across multiple sites, even under differing project governance structures, delivering measurable enhancements in both safety and efficiency. His involvement was recognized not only for its immediate project value but also for its broader, scalable contribution to smart construction practices within the industry.
